Recently, the 5G smart port joint solution jointly developed by Maxvision and Huawei has been put into used in Oman. The successful implementation of the smart port project marks an important step in overseas business expansion of Maxvision Technology.

The 5G smart port platform uses AI of Maxvision and 5G of Huawei to realize core functions, e.g., container number recognition, operator PPE (personal protective equipment, i.e. personal protective equipment, for example reflective clothing, helmets), license plate intelligent recognition, control area patrolling monitoring, illegal intrusion intelligent detection, alarm, in order to effectively reduce the manpower demand of the port, reduce logistics costs and improve operation efficiency. At present, it has been successfully put into operation in Oman. It was released at the press conference of Huawei 5G + related products (prior to commercialization) in the Middle East on October 10, during which, was demonstrated to a number of national leaders in Oman, with good results. In addition, there was a lot of national media coverage in Oman.
Based on the 5G smart port project, Maxvision and Huawei jointly released a multi-nation license plate recognition solution for the Middle East. This solution, that fills the blank in this region and that recognizes the license plates of 13 countries (that is, 6 GCC countries and 7 non-GCC countries), can be applied to different scenarios such as customs, transportation and smart parks, realizing centralized supervision of vehicles and being expected to change the working mode in this region.?
