The north corridor of Jinan International Airport and Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport were put into operation one after another, ushering in the 'highlight moment' of Shandong's airport aviation industry. North corridor of Jinan International Airport: new smart facilities help international flight routes

On August 6, 2021, the north corridor of Jinan International Airport was officially put into use. The construction area of the north corridor project of Jinan International Airport is 54,700m2. It mainly serves international passengers with the independent check-in, security inspection, joint inspection, luggage and other system facilities, meeting needs of various types of flights such as international departure, arrival and transfer. The north corridor, the main building of the terminal and the south corridor together constitute the T1 terminal of Jinan International Airport, with a total construction area of about 160,000m2. Rapid development of Jinan local economy has brought the overload pressure of the airport. The north corridor solves this problem, helping the local economic development, improving the customs clearance environment of international entry-exit passengers, and improving the epidemic prevention, control and disposal capacity. It plays an irreplaceable important role before the completion of the second phase reconstruction and expansion project of Jinan International Airport.

Maxvision Technology provides a solution for the construction of the north corridor, further improving the intelligent level of Jinan Airport. There are 24 check-in counters in the north corridor, including 10 self-service baggage check-in counters, equipped with automatic baggage sorting system and RFID baggage tracking system, which greatly optimizes the passenger check-in process and improves the baggage sorting efficiency. Passengers just need to submit their checked baggage once, and the customs and security inspection staff can conduct inspection in the backstage, respectively, and open jointly the package as needed to ensure double inspection and direct customs clearance of passengers' baggage, thereby greatly shortening the time for passengers to pass. To improve the passing experience, the multi-functional intelligent verification platform, intelligent inspection channel, intelligent biological information acquisition system and so forth from Maxvision Technology are widely used at the north corridor port to realize 'non-inductive customs clearance' under the premise of ensuring safety. Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport: officially opened and positioned as world-class and domestic leading

On August 12, 2021, this airport, known as an international hub in Northeast Asia, was officially put into operation. It will enhance Qingdao's aviation position and provide transportation network support for Qingdao's construction into an open, modern, dynamic international metropolis. It will enable Qingdao to play a better role in the major strategies such as China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Demonstration Zone and Shandong FTA pilot zone, and create a new platform for international cooperation of countries along Belt and Road Initiative, and build Qingdao into an international comprehensive transport hub city. In a word, it has great significance. Due to this, the airport construction headquarters put forward higher requirements for the design and construction of the airport.

In the frontier inspection station of Qingdao airport, the concerted efforts are made to improve the control and service level. Aiming at becoming the first-class unit, it has built four centers (service command, law enforcement and case handling, certificate investigation, and Meisha operation and maintenance) equipped with more than 1,000 sets of modern inspection equipment such as data verification and intelligent evidence collection, and it has 46 intelligent channels and 45 self-service channels. The number of channels has increased by 77% and 150%, respectively, which can meet serve 1,838 passengers per hour (which is a peak level). Foreigners' biological collection front-end machine is equipped in the entry service area, which realizes the diversion and zoning waiting of Chinese and foreign passengers in advance, effectively shortens the overall waiting time, and further improves the sense of security, acquisition and satisfaction of entry-exit passengers.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, the customs has installed the latest infrared temperature monitor in the passenger inspection channel to ensure that once the alarm is given, the passenger will be checked immediately and handed over to the local health department in a one-to-one way to avoid cross infection. Also, the customs has carried out latest transformation of the temperature measuring platform, temperature measuring channel, epidemiological investigation and sampling links to reduce the workload of front-line customs officers and fully protect them.
