At zero clock on December 18, 2014, the new self-service customs clearance inspection equipment was opened on schedule for crowed passengers in the broad and bright passenger inspection hall at the new Hengqin Port. That significant event was witnessed by reporters, inbound and outbound passengers, joint inspection authorities and the members of our project team for the Hengqin Port project. Upon approval by the State Council, Hengqin Port and Lianhua Port began to implement 24-hour customs clearance, increasing the daily customs clearance capacity from 20,000 passengers to 100,000 passengers.

The new policy began to be implemented on the 15th anniversary of Macao¡¯s return to China and the 5th anniversary of establishment of Hengqin New Area, Zhuhai. According to He Runsheng, a member of the Legislative Council?of Macao, the 24-hour customs clearance of Hengqin Port showed the central government¡¯s great care and support for Macao and increasingly closer cooperation between Guangdong and Macao.

We undertook the construction and equipment installation of total informatization solution and inspection system for the joint inspection authorities of the new Hengqin Port. To make implementation of the project smooth, we assigned excellent employees to station at the new port and sent experienced engineers and designers to the site of the new port for installation, debugging, etc. Our headquarters gave priority to the project in terms of supply of materials and equipment.

In the project, we used star systems and products such as new-generation one-stop electronic inspection and release system for vehicles (nationwide original), passenger automated inspection system (the fifth generation) and smart identity document inspection counter. All of these systems and products are independent intellectual property right based products independently developed by us and now widely used in main ports throughout the country.

?Based on nearly two decades of experience in port construction, we now have mature and professional hardware and software development teams. Our innovation spirit and powerful strength in product development management and system application development laid a solid foundation for smooth completion of the project. Under high attention of leaders of the municipal and city levels and the project owner and great support and cooperation of the joint inspection authorities, we finished the project smoothly by overcoming difficulties and working around the clock, providing an around-the-clock and accessible customs clearance service for Macao compatriots and other inbound and outbound passengers.
