On June 18, 2016, ¡°2016 First China Security System Integrator Alliance Summit and the 20th Anniversary Awarding Ceremony of Shenzhen Security Protection Industry Association¡± sponsored by Shenzhen Security Protection Industry Association and organized by China Security System Integrator Alliance was successfully held in the conference room in the 7th hall of Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Miao Yingliang, the deputy general manager of our R&D center in Wuhan was invited to deliver a speech titled Ways for Equipment Suppliers to Cooperate with System integrators to Provide Better Products and Solutions. More than 300 representatives of member enterprises attended the summit.

On the summit, government officers and industry experts were invited to introduce the current situation of intelligent transportation, the technical trends and the important embodiments of system integration. Based on analysis on the application cases of system integration technologies in intelligent transportation, the attendees mainly discussed about the ways for equipment suppliers to cooperate with system integrators to provide better products and solutions.

On the summit, Miao Yingliang broke the science with a humorous beginning of his speech. Following the pyramid principle, he talked about problem discovery, industry¡¯s current situation analysis, solution proposing and significance of problem discussion, i.e. to find the ways for a win-win result between equipment suppliers and system integrators. In addition, he pointed out the problems encountered by equipment suppliers and system integrators. Equipment suppliers face lack of market and promotion, numerous competitors, and difficulties in standing out and forming an industry advantage and troublesome product design and innovation; system integrators face failure of system integration because of lack of support by equipment suppliers (even those said they would cooperate with system integration will probably back out). As a result, system integration is hindered by these problems.

According to Miao Yingliang, after eight years of development since 2008, market value of the security industry has reached 5000 billion yuan from 160 billion yuan and its system integration service has been increasing, suggesting a bright future. Viewed from trends of the industry, manufacturers change business mode from providing a few products to providing services and solutions; the security demands are networked, integrated and large-scale oriented. Viewed from industrial change, system integrators have become the backbone force in the industry.

There is a doubt about the way for equipment supplier and system integrators to reach a win-win result on the huge market. Actually, equipment suppliers need to cooperate with system integrator to grow better. Therefore, equipment suppliers and system integrators should establish a strategic partnership based on mutual trust to reach a win-win result.

Miao Yingliang said the company has been devoting itself to smart ports and intelligent transportation, serving as an equipment supplier or a system integrator. Thanks to such double identities, the company has a better understanding of the way for equipment suppliers and system integrators to get along with each other. It is possible that the products of equipment suppliers, even if they are good, are not accepted by customers when there are no excellent system integrators. Thus, equipment suppliers should attach importance to the feedbacks of system integrators and, on this basis, keep improving the functions and quality of their products, provide products and technologies meeting customer demands, supply faultless and maintenance-free products and customizable services, thus increasing their market shares, establishing more stable partnership with system integrators, gaining better reputation for their products and developing products more acceptable on the market.

Experience shows that good equipment trainings can reduce misoperation, faults and accidents for equipment, improve the utilization and intactness of equipment and build a good enterprise image among customers by ensuring less risks, lower operating and maintenance costs and better economic benefits for customers.
